Stihl FS131 Brushcutter, 36.3cc Stihl 4-mix engine with a cow horn handle for ease of use. The 4-mix engine combines advantages of two stoke and four stoke engines to reduce emissions and produce a higher torque. These machines are suitable for use by the heavy domestic market or the commercial contractor. The engine benefits from automatic decompression making the machine easier to start. The air filter system is designed for periods of extended use between cleaning. All Stihl cow horn brushcutters come complete with a Stihl Autocut head and a metal blade. This machine also has the benefit of a very comfortable harness. These are extremely hard working machines and should not be compared to inferior products.

Decompression system
The decompression valve allows some of the compression pressure in the cylinder to escape, so less force on the starter rope is needed.
Air filter with long service life
The easily accessible paper filter with a long service life means it can go for long intervals without changing. (similar to illustration)
Manual fuel pump (Purger)
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.
Bike handle
When used in conjunction with a harness, the bike handle enables a smooth mowing action. The bike handle allows the machine to be easily guided, making it ideal for working on large areas and thus reducing fatigue.
Anti-vibration system
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine's engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
